Dear Teenager,

When asked about the future, I know I’m not the only one that gets overwhelmed. But the more I grow and develop as a young adult I realize the only reason I get overwhelmed is because I have big plans for myself.

As youth, it’s so easy to gain the perception to have to “think small and realistically”. That’s always been hard for me to do because since I was younger, I’ve always had big dreams for myself. With that, came a lot of self doubt and tons of doubtfulness from other people. This generation is infamous for knocking every step someone takes to get to their goals, but applauds you when you’re up. I call it hater culture. This hater culture is everywhere, you know it and I know it. But the real test is, what are you going to do with the opportunities you are given.

As youth, your future matters. Regardless of what anyone has to say. Never be afraid to dream big! If you want to be an entrepreneur, find your passion and create your empire. If you want to be someone who impacts the world, take a stand and fight for your cause. Your future is dictated by you and only you. Especially since the youth of today are the future of tomorrow. We have a say of what we want our world to be and look like. So as far as your future goes, make it count you never know what the future holds.
